Who we are

CairnRoaming is an outdoor navigation game built and run by an independent developer in the UK (“we”). This policy explains what data the app and this website collect and why. Contact us any time at hazinexgames@outlook.com.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and display name, used to sign you in and show you on leaderboards.
• Location during games.Your device’s GPS position while you take part in a session, used to place you on the map and validate point captures. We do not track your location outside of active games.
• Capture photos. Photos you take at high-value points in private games. They are visible to the people in your game and are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Gameplay data. Sessions you host or join, points captured, scores, and messages you send in session chat.
• Usage analytics.First-party events (like “app opened” or “session started”) stored in our own database. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
• We don’t show ads or share data with ad networks.
• We don’t track your location when you’re not playing.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, in their London region (AWS eu-west-2), so it stays in the UK. Map tiles are served by MapTiler; standard technical data (like your IP address) is processed by these providers to deliver the service.

How long we keep it

Gameplay history is kept for as long as your account exists, so leaderboards and past sessions keep working. Capture photos are deleted automatically 90 days after they were taken. You can delete your account and all of its data — including any photos still within their 90 days — at any time from the app’s settings. Deletion is permanent.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). The quickest route for access or deletion is in-app account deletion or an email to hazinexgames@outlook.com.

Children

CairnRoaming is not directed at children under 13. Organised groups (schools, Scouts, clubs) should ensure appropriate consent is in place before young people take part.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we’ll flag it in the app. The latest version always lives at this page.
